Murienua is one of 10 Electorate in Rarotonga on the South-West side of the island in the Puaikura district.
Elected to the Parliament of the Cook Islands for the first time in the 2018, general election.

PUBLIC SERVICE INFORMATION:
Served many years in the government public and Private Sector as a Consultant for government agencies. From a Forestry Officer since 1989, to Agriculture Senior Research Officer in 1994 – 1999. In 2000 became Senior Policy Officer until 2001 to resume University studies and graduated in 2005.
Employed soon after as Technical Consultant for Aid Management MFEM, Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2010 became CEO of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. In 2012, he was appointed as Director of the Policy and Planning Division for the Ministry of Agriculture before entering into Politics in 2018.
Became Board Member of the Cook Islands National Red Cross Society in 2006 to 2018 and was deployed as a national response representative to national, regional/international disaster response missions throughout the Pacific. Was appointed as Acting (interim) President of the Cook Islands Red Cross Society in 2015. In 2016 he became the second appointed President to the National Society by the General Assembly. After succeeding the 2018 elections as a Member of Parliament, he resigned his tenure as President as prescribed under the National Society.

Secondary School – Atiu
Attained a Diploma in Tropical Agriculture from Alafua College, the School of Agriculture of the University of the South Pacific, followed a Degree in Agriculture majoring Economics, and a Master in Business Administration.
A graduate certificate in Business and Administration, Project Management major from Auckland University of Technology.
