They explored what it truly means to serve as a Member of Parliament and the realities that come with public leadership. These discussions offered honest insight into the challenges, expectations, and purpose of the role.

The Opening Day of the Cook Islands National Youth Parliament and Women’s Parliament 2026 marks the beginning of a programme designed to empower young people, strengthen their voices, and build future leaders. Youth participants from Rarotonga and the Pa Enua have started their journey by learning how Parliament works and engaging in real discussions on issues that affect them today.
